Iain consulted with Asda during 2002 and I am delighted to recommend him to other businesses based on the outstanding results of this assignment.

The brief was to develop a business-wide customer data strategy, a complex issue to resolve when you have almost 10m customers transacting with Asda each week through a variety of channels and across a variety of product and service groups.

Iain pulled this together and communicated it to the Asda teams in a way that removed the complexity. I think it was this simplicity and clarity of communication that ensured that we achieved complete business buy-in.

The assignment was well planned, and I was always in the loop through both formal status reporting, issue management and project reviews and also through more informal updates. The written output of the assignment is used today, and the project still very much alive and in progress of implementation.

In summary, the project is a big success and I would have no hesitation in recommending Iain to other businesses needing a pragmatic yet strategic route through a complex situation.
